So, it’s heeeeeere. The great annual candy extravaganza, Halloween. I know my children will be racing from door to door tomorrow in at attempt to collect the most candy ever! After all, whoever gets the most candy wins, right? So the kids come home and you sort through the booty, looking for the tampered stuff and “testing” your favourites to ensure it’s ok and what are you left looking at? A great big frickin’ pile of candy, that’s what. What are you going to do with it all?
I let my kids go to town on it. First night, eat whatever you want. Fill your boots. Then floss, brush, repeat. The second day you get five pieces. Third, four. Fourth, three. Fifth, two. Sixth, one. Seventh, grab one plus one for good measure and kiss it goodbye. Yup, that’s right. After a week, I toss it. I don’t like dragging it on forever.
I do love reading what other mom’s do. I’ve heard of mom’s freezing it. Some let their kids decide, when, where, and how much. What do you do? Share with other mom’s here in the comments. Also, what do you steal from your kids trick or treat bag? I, personally, leave no Reese’s Peanut Butter cup behind.

I just let them have it all….. usually by the second week they forget about it anyway or the dogs hve found it…interesting to hear other options…I recently offered my kids to trade it in for a tow ( i saw another mom doing this) Sure, they agreed – on the condition that they could have guns instead…so not happening, I’d rather they have the candy, lol!

I don’t think mine would forget about it. If they did, I wouldn’t. Bad for the waistline. Out it goes LOL
