The more I travel, the more I find things I wouldn’t leave home without now. Last year, my dear friend Heather, compiled her list of gifts for your road-warrior, this year I give you my list of gifts for your globetrotter!
Gifts for Your Globetrotter
LifeProof nüüd Waterproof iPhone 5 Case
I love my iPhone. Probably more than I should but the thought of losing all my information, not to mention photos off it, leaves me in a cold sweat. That’s why I went out and invested in a LifeProof case for it. My phone is now waterproof up to 6.6 ft, dirtproof so I don’t have to worry about it on the beach, snowproof which is great when I want to get Instragram shots when snowshoeing and shockproof for all those times I drop the darn thing. I sleep much better knowing my baby is protected.
GoPro Hero 3
This GoPro Hero 3 is a pile of fun and can quite literally go anywhere with you. I’ve taken mine snorkelling, go-carting, and up in hot air balloon ride recently. It fits in the palm of your hand so it’s easy to transport and you can choose the accessories that work for you. Put it on your head or strapped around your chest and don’t miss a second of the action. Plus I can download the GoPro app to my much beloved phone and preview all the footage I’ve taken. Way too cool.
Free Like Birdie
While at the TMS Family Travel Conference I was given a travel bag from Free Like Birdie. It has become one of my favourite travel items. Made for women traveling with babies, you’ll use these convenient bags long past the diaper stage. I use mine for my underwear and that clean/dirty divider is a great way to stay organized while on the road.
Gowalk from Skechers
I will literally go nowhere without my Gowalk’s. Like walking on fluffy little clouds, these shoes have got me through NYC, Disney and all over Kissimmee. They are the first thing in my bag when packing now.
Pashmina Shawls
I have Pashmina shawls in black, purple, pink, cream and green. I never leave home without one in my carry-on and one in my checked bag. They are great to take the chill off on the plane, use as a blanket or tuck under your head when you’re sleepy. They are also perfect for cool evenings or air-conditioned restaurants when traveling south. They also look pretty darn fashionable with just about anything. You can find pashmina shawls at most shopping malls but it you’re on online person, check out The Pashmina Store.
