You know what I love about this Honey Hoisin Pork Tenderloin? It’s easy and it’s yummy. Two things that makes a recipe a sure fire hit in my kitchen. It also usually provides leftovers, which is another thing my kitchen loves.
Honey Hoisin Pork Tenderloin
4 tbsps chopped green onions
4 tbsps low-sodium soy sauce
4 tbsps hoisin sauce
4 tbsps honey
2 tbsps hot water
2 1lb pork tenderloins
1 tsp of sesame seeds
Combine the onions, soy, hoisin, honey and hot water together in a small bowl. Pour 1/2 cup of the sauce over pork tenderloins in freezer bag and marinate in the fridge for 30 minutes. Set sauce aside and preheat oven to 400F.
Remove pork from bag and discard of bag and marinade. Heat a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat ( I love my cast iron skillet for this one). Brush pan with oil or spray with cooking spray. Cook pork, 2 minutes per side until brown all over. Brush sauce over pork and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Transfer to oven and bake for 20 minutes or until a meat thermometer registers 160F.
Let pork stand for 5 minutes before cutting across the grain. Drizzle remaining sauce over pork before serving.
Pleasantville Note: While your pork is marinating, get your rice and veggies going for the side. For leftovers serve this on a bun with grated carrot and sliced cucumber.
