#HealingMix Review
I’m finally clawing my way out of the bleary baby days. It’s been four kids and 12 years of being at the mercy of other people’s schedules and needs. Last month, I lovingly sent the tiniest one off to kindergarten and looked forward to some quiet time to recharge. Then…WHAM…we brought home a puppy. And guess what? I’m being ruled by his schedule and needs.
My body hasn’t even had a chance to recover from four births and decade of breastfeeding, and I find myself being deprived of much-needed sleep once again. When I was asked to review the Now For Mothers Healing Mix, I jumped (with what little energy I had) at the chance.
I’ll be completely honest. When I started hearing words like flax and hemp seeds being thrown around in the food world, my first thought was “seeds are for the birds.” But the recipes I was already making for my kids (like muffins and pancakes) were starting to add these ingredients to the mix, and I started to take notice. And eventually, I started to use them too.
With a growing family, I had already made a shift to using organic foods. But like most busy mothers, my focus was on the kids. I didn’t give a second thought to how I could benefit from boosting my energy levels and immune system. But the fact is, I am an integral part of the getting this family through the day. I need to be at my best. And I deserve to be, too.
The Now For Mothers Healing Mix is a natural and organic superfood that provides mothers (up to six years postpartum) with a solution that replenishes energy, balances hormones and aids with lactation. It also provides breastfed babies with precursor fats for healthy brain development.
In short, this mix helps mothers who are looking for a natural and healthy way to boost their energy levels and overall well-being. It also aids with metabolism, toxin removal and the immune system.
The Healing Mix comes in a resealing package, with a scoop for easy measuring. It has a lovely texture and mild and delicious flavour. And why wouldn’t it? With all organic ingredients, including: flax, oats, almonds, honey, cinnamon, wheat, butter, walnuts, pistachios, brown sugar, raisins, pine nuts, and melon seeds, it adds extra taste to your everyday foods.
I already add hemp seeds to my morning smoothies, so it was easy to throw a scoop of the mix on top. My husband started sneaking spinach into my blend months ago, the healing mix was an added healthy punch that didn’t turn my smoothie green.
When having a small bowl of Greek Yogurt for a snack or as part of my breakfast, I’ll often add granola. I started substituting with the healing mix and it tasted even better.
I’ve also been doing my best to cut back on coffee, lately. But a warm mug on a cool day, or while working away at my desk, is a very hard habit to break. The Healing Mix offers a better alternative. A single scoop in a warm mug of milk is a perfect pick-me-up and a much more gentle energy boost than my usual 3 p.m. caffeine jolt (and the later insomnia that went with it).
So what are you waiting for? Do something that makes you feel better. The Healing Mix is so easy to add to your daily routine; it doesn’t take any energy. In fact, it actually adds to it. Now for Mothers Healing Mix is available at Loblaws, Zehrs and Superstores across Canada.

I was surprised at how good this mix is. I can eat it straight from the bag.

Yes, it’s true, Helene. And thank you for the inspiration for my next tweet!
