Not really sure what I can say here besides, BACON! BOOZE! How about, “You’re welcome?” Yes, that sums things up nicely. Now go enjoy responsibly.
If you’re new to the drinks world — or not Canadian — a standard Caesar is made with vodka, clamato juice, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce served over ice in a salt-rimmed glass with a piece of celery as a garnish. It’s a serving of booze and vegetables all in one. Caesars have been a favourite cocktail since the 1970s when Walter Chell of the Owl’s Nest Bar in Calgary set out to recreate a favourite meal in liquid form. The rest is history and Canadians now consume enough Clamato juice to equal 350 million Caesars a year. We’re an all or nothing kind of people.
This recipe for a bacon vodka Caesar takes an already amazing drink and kicks it over the goal line, or into the net, or over the bleachers. Basically, we take bacon and make it better because what doesn’t get better with bacon? There’s only one correct answer.
While Caesars are delish patio drinks, they’re also great for parties with minimal prep work. You can make a batch the day before, or set out a Caesar bar for your guests to do some of the work themselves. If your party guests have a safe way home, set up a “Make your Own Caesar Bar” and let people have some fun experimenting!
